U.S. Embassy Donates 2,750 Uniforms to LNP

Ambassador Christine Elder on behalf of the United States Government donated 2,750 new uniforms to the Liberia National Police – LNP yesterday at a ceremony in Monrovia presided by LNP Inspector General Patrick Sudue.

Ambassador Elder underscored the increasing cooperation between the U.S. Department of State: Bureau of Intl Narcotics & Law Enforcement (INL) and LNP since inception in 2006.

According to a release from the LNP, Ambassador Elder commended the teamwork of the men and women of the police service and their ability to collaborate with other Liberian security agencies to disrupt criminal networks, fight crime, and keep the peace.

She added “The LNP is an essential pillar of this country’s security and stability. Your nation needs you to remain focused on combating crime and protecting the rights of all citizens.
